At
Damar Homes, we are our greatest critics and as such we work
tirelessly to meet and exceed our own extremely high standards.
From the first designs to the final finishes and every step in between
we are constantly looking for opportunities to improve our methods,
materials, and aesthetic in such a way as to build the strongest, most
comfortable, and beautiful home at the greatest value.
Below we have provided photo tours of some of our most popular features,
both structural and aesthetic. Due to either their nature or
placement, we have been unable to provide suitable representative
photographs for some of our features, thus they have not been included
in these tours. For a more complete list of our standards please
request a features list or refer to the features list to be found on the
neighborhoods page of our website.

Granite Kitchen Countertops Brushed Nickel Cabinet Pulls Stainless Steel Undermount Sink and Pull Out Faucet White Cultured Marble Window Sills with Colonial Edge Fiberglass Doors with Glass Inserts Rich Black Satin Painted Front Doors Multidimensional Stucco Designs Designer Paint Colors and Matching Soffits Architectural Dimensional Shingles
All Damar homes come standard with granite kitchen countertops in five color options. We design our kitchens with frameless, hidden-hinge oak cabinets and stagger them to create a custom look. For a more furniture like feel, we include crown moulding and offer three stain choices to match your personal style. All of our homes come with standard brushed nickel cabinets pulls to compliment our designer oak cabinetry. For a clean look and convenient clean up we finish off our granite kitchen countertops with deep stainless steel undermount sinks and pull out faucets. At Damar Homes we pay close attention to the details that make a house a home and one of our personal favorites is the etched glass pantry door we include on all of our homes. Throughout the kitchens, bathrooms, foyers, and utility rooms in Damar homes, we include 17" ceramic tile flooring. The tiles are available in three standard colors and are both a durable and attractive flooring choice. All of our homes employ cultured marble in creating the showers, tubs, and vanities. Not only is this an aesthetic choice due to its beauty and multiple color choices, but cultured marble is also a durable and sanitary material. It's ability to be fabricated in large sheets eliminates grout lines which can harbor mold and mildew or may deteriorate causing leaks. All of our homes come standard with rounded drywall corners, including all windows and ceiling coffers. The rounded shape is made by finishing the drywall edges with a curved plastic corner bead which also reduces the chances of significant damage when bumped. At Damar, we see ceilings as an opportunity to incorporate a bit of architectural detail and character into our homes. That's why we include coffers, trays, vaults, or planter shelves wherever possible in the homes we build. All of our homes come standard with fiberglass doors and your choice of leaded or frosted glass inserts. Fiberglass doors are more durable than metal ones in Florida's harsh climate and won't rust or pit while decorative glass inserts provide additional light and create a more inviting entry. The attention to detail does not end when you walk out of the front door of our homes. Every house we build comes standard with a brick paver driveway for a friendly and charming approach and a bit of added curb appeal. At Damar Homes, we like our homes to stand out in both quality and beauty. In this pursuit, we have recently begun to incorporate architectural stonework in our standard exterior designs. Dark painted front doors enhance the look of the exterior of our homes and draw the eye in to create a grand entry. Dark Bronze finish designer coach lights with rippled glass flank the driveways of Damar Homes and cast a warm, welcoming light. In order to provide greater detail and design on our exteriors without resorting to foam products which are easily knicked or dented, we've incorporated a layering method of stucco band application that mimics architectural millwork and is far sturdier than foam. Our goal at Damar is to create homes that are warm and welcoming even from the curb, with this in mind we offer a choice of six standard designer exterior paint colors in warm rich tones and a traditional cream trim and coordinating soffit to match.

Concrete Block Exterior Walls Engineered Trusses With 6/12 Pitch House Wrap and Water Sealing Tape
All exterior walls on a Damar home are constructed of Concrete Masonry Units which are poured every four feet, at either side of every opening, and in the top two courses and are reinforced with #5 rebar for greater strength and stability. Decorative exterior columns may be constructed of a variety of materials including - but not limited to - cardboard tubing, PVC tubing, and concrete block. At Damar we choose to build our columns from concrete block due to it's lower maintenance needs and greater structural stability. Each roof and floor truss is strapped to the concrete block walls with hurricane straps. These hurricane straps are set into the concrete that is poured in the top two courses of the block walls and provide a secure hold in strong winds. Though the common practice these days is to frame interior walls with metal studs placed 21 or 24 inches on center, all Damar Homes interior walls are built with wood studs placed every 16 inches on center. Wood studs contain a natural grain that make them better able than metal studs to withstand the twisting forces placed on a house during a severe storm. Damar homes employ an engineered truss system for greater strength and security and and 6/12 pitch for homes with greater presence and curb appeal. For Damar homes with a second story, we construct the floors out of engineered floor trusses and advantech flooring with a 50 year limited warranty to increase stability and provide a surer footing. All Damar homes with framed second floors are wrapped in a water resistant house wrap and have their windows sealed with a a water sealing tape. These two items work together to help ensure maximum water intrusion protection.
